Pink to headline 2010 Wireless festival in London

American pop singer-songwriter Pink will headline the 2010 Wireless festival in London's Hyde Park on July 2.

U.K. alt-rock act the Ting Tings will be special guests on the same date, promoter Live Nation announced Tuesday.

Wireless will be staged for the sixth consecutive year in 2010. Previous headliners at the festival, which features four stages, include the White Stripes, Kanye West, Morrissey, Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk.

"Hyde Park is such a legendary place to play, and I feel so honored that I am going to be the first female to headline the festival," Pink said in a statement.

Further acts will be announced at a later date for the July 2-4 weekend.

Meanwhile, U.K rapper Dizzee Rascal and dance act Chase & Status are the first artists to be confirmed for the Lovebox Weekender 2010. Dizzee Rascal will headline the first day of the July 16-18 festival. The event in east London's Victoria Park has been expanded to three days for 2010.I think Funhouse album by Pink is really cool.

Pearl Jam Summer Tour Dates

Pearl Jam has announced a series of European festival and headlining tour dates set for summer 2010. The shows will kick off in Dublin, Ireland at the O2 arena and end at the Optimus Alive Festival in Oeiras, Portugal.

Pre-sale tickets for the Dublin, Belfast, London and Berlin shows are already available to Pearl Jam's Ten Club members. Other ticketing information has yet to be announced.

Pearl Jam have been on the road in North America over the past couple of months in support of their ninth studio album, Backspacer. The album was released in September and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, giving the band their first chart-topper in 13 years. I like most popular The Best Of album by Pearl Jam released in 2006.

Nickelback announces 2010 concert dates

The rock band Nickelback said Thursday it has added several 2010 dates to its Dark Horse North American concert tour.

The shows will feature special guests Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown with the opening act and additional dates to be announced, Live Nation said Thursday.

"The newly confirmed dates are hot off the heels of their summer and fall dates where the band played to sold-out crowds around the world," the promoters said.

Tickets go on sale beginning Dec. 4 in select markets at LiveNation.com.

As of Thursday, the 2010 leg of the tour is to begin April 6 in London, Ontario, and wrap April 24 in Tulsa, Okla

Judges unhappy with Wolfmother noise

Wolfmother did not let a noise complaint from the NSW Supreme Court stop them from rocking out in central Sydney to celebrate summer.

The four-piece outfit are headlining the Summer Party at Hyde Park Barracks in the CBD.

But their afternoon sound check got a few judges hot under the collar, with the court asking the band to turn down the volume.

"We're right across the road so yeah we might have saved someone's life," Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale said.

"I have always wanted to play at this location. It's good to finally be here."

Celebrities including singer Sia and rising pop group Short Back were among the guests at the annual bash, hosted by MTV's Ruby Rose, Darren McMullen and special guest VJ Erin McNaught, who was sporting a bandaged arm.
